cartel through the years
After a hiatus in 2007, the four of us finally reunited at Chipotle today! We were trying to remember how we started the “cartel,” and I found pictures of us starting from senior year of high school. You can see how much we’ve changed or not changed at all, and some things make a reappearance like Gary’s puffy black jacket. And it seems like we eat more and more food as the...

20 things
WARNING: This is going to be a long one… (TWSS!) I got tagged by Rena for a Facebook version of those long lost e-mail survey chains.  I’m too lazy to tag people with mine, so I’m posting it on here — do what you want with it. Instructions: Once you’ve been tagged, you have to write a note with 20 random things, shortcomings, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end...

It takes about 30 minutes...

the lives we lead
Evelyn and I were at Valley Fair yesterday, and we stopped by one of the kiosks in the middle of the mall. After she bought some earrings, she recognized the receipt — and sure enough, the earring stand was using Intuit’s Point of Sale system (the check-out program for retailers). We started chatting with the clerk and found out that the owner’s husband works at Intuit. Both of...

musings from work
I have this habit of biting the rims of disposable cups.  And today I wondered how much paper, plastic, and styrofoam I will consume in my lifetime.  What if I end up eating an entire cup? And here marks my switch to coffee mugs.
